Rolex has once again captured the spirit of precision and exploration with the launch of the Oyster Perpetual Explorer 41, a bold evolution of one of its most iconic tool watches.
Unveiled at Watches & Wonders 2025, the new Explorer 41 marks the first time the legendary model is offered in a 41mm case size, bridging the gap between traditional elegance and contemporary wrist presence. Crafted in Oystersteel and featuring an updated Chromalight display, the watch delivers superior legibility in extreme conditions — a tribute to its mountaineering origins.
Inside, the latest-generation Calibre 3235 movement powers the Explorer 41, offering a 70-hour power reserve and enhanced resistance to shocks and magnetism. The updated movement represents Rolex’s continuing commitment to technical mastery and everyday reliability.
Rolex also introduced a version of the Explorer 41 in Rolesor, combining Oystersteel and 18 ct yellow gold — a luxurious reinterpretation that broadens the model’s appeal while retaining its rugged DNA.
Collectors and fans praised the release as a respectful nod to the past, infused with subtle modernity. “It’s the Explorer we know and love, just better suited for today’s world,” said renowned horology journalist Marco Legrand.
Beyond the launch, Rolex continues to champion global conservation and education through its Perpetual Planet Initiative, reaffirming the brand’s dedication to positive impact beyond the dial.
As always, Rolex proves that evolution can be as timeless as tradition — and that excellence is a journey, not a destination.
